LEVELS
LEARN SPANISH IS EASY
All Our Schools follow the criteria laid down by the Council of Europe on the teaching of languages.
One of the aims of the "Common European Framework of Reference: Learning, Teaching, Assessment", Council of Europe reference document for the European Language Portfolio, is to help partners to describe the levels of proficiency required by existing standards, tests and examinations in order to facilitate comparisons between different systems of qualifications.
For this purpose the Council of Europe has developed a European Framework with common reference levels.
A1 (Beginner): Introduces basic communication situations, first contact with Spanish life and customs, and pronunciation.
A2 (Elementary): Develops basic skills to provide the ability to communicate in everyday situations.
B1 (Intermediate 1): Moves into knowledge of the past tenses in Spanish, and introduces the country's culture.
B2 (Intermediate 2): Teaches the basics of the subjunctive tense, with special attention to the fluidity of conversation and expanding vocabulary.
C1 (Advanced): Consolidates use of the subjunctive, with more on present-day life and culture in Spain and the Hispanic world. Masters all aspects of grammar, and discusses specific aspects of Spanish life, including literature and the arts.
C2 (Superior): Aspires to Spanish as a bilingual language.
